June 26th, 2008

Trading stocks in Yalicoo is very simple; just follow these steps:
Step One: Choose the stock you want to trade.
Currently, you can choose among the 750 largest companies traded at the NASDAQ exchange. You can review the complete list of stocks and evaluate the stock you wish to trade.

You may wish to review the “Investing strategies” section in order to understand which stocks fit your investing strategy and trading characteristic.

Step Two: Click on the Trading button.

Each stock is accompanied by a button leading to the actual trading of the stock. Click on this button and the trading window will open.

Step Three: Determine the order type.

Choose a buy or sell order, and the pricing type – limit or market.

A limit is an order to buy or sell a security at a specific price or better. In case of buy order, this would be the upper threshold on the execution price, and in case of sell order it will be the lower limit to execute the sell.

If you choose a limited price please specify the limit price in the limit box. Also, select the time duration for the execution of the order.

  • Good till cancel – in this case the system will keep trying to execute the order until it is executed or until you cancel it.
  • Daily - if not executed during the day it has submitted, your order will be canceled at the end of the trading day.
  • A “market” is an order to buy or sell a stock at the best price currently available.

Step Four: Decide the amount of shares you want to trade.

Determine the number of shares or the amount of money that you want to buy or sell (the system will automatically calculate the other parameter).

Keep in mind that the maximal holding of one stock cannot exceed 10% of your current portfolio value.

Click on the “Place Order” button to place your order.

Continue to manage your portfolio

Trading stocks in Yalicoo is very easy; in addition, your orders will be executed using real time quotes. Continue to manage your portfolio, buy or sell as frequently as you like.
